Updates

April 27, 2020 7:00am PST

Our goal with True North Dreamin is to provide a space where people can experience the Salesforce Ohana first hand and be immersed in the type of learning and networking that's only possible to do together at an event like ours. That Ohana is built with all of our attendees coming, sharing, and participating in our event.

With many governments calling for continued shutdown through the back half of the year or throughout the remainder of 2020, it's become clear to us that the August dates will not allow us to deliver type of event we did last year, and while we could reschedule again and again, we felt it unethical to keep fees from our attendees in a time when both businesses and individuals need financial support to continue through these tough times.

With that in mind, our organizing committee has decided to indefinitely postpone True North Dreamin until we can make such a commitment again, and begin the process of cancelling and refunding this year's event.

For those of you interested in sticking with TND during this time, we are offering gift cards to any individual interested in converting their ticket into a gift card for a future True North Dreamin event. To take advantage of this offer, please fill out this form by April 30, 2020, and we will process your gift card. https://forms.gle/irLt59MfnWChbdeB6

If we haven’t heard from you by then, we’ll process your refund via Eventbrite for the full value via the method you purchased. We hope that our transparency and actions during this time will inspire you to choose to attend a future Dreamin event. We will be back! You can subscribe on our website for updates when we pick back up. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Thank you again for sticking with our event during this time, and please stay safe wherever you may be.

We are still looking for updates from our hotel partners about the room blocks, please find updates about that below

Listel: These rooms will need to be cancelled by the individual or moved to the August dates. The price in August is $309. We are confirming how to book in the new block.

Park-Inn: These rooms will need to be cancelled by the individual or moved to the August dates. We currently don't have a confirmation of the new price.

UBC and Holiday Inn are both outstanding - we're hopeful we can move the block and reduce work necessary by the individuals. We will be posting more on this page when I know it.

March 9, 2020 1:22pm PST

After thoughtful consideration of the current state of the outbreak, for the benefit of public health and safety, we have worked with our venue to postpone this conference to August 13, 2020 - August 14, 2020. It is important to us to maintain the interactions, learning, and networking that can be gained from an in person event, while not endangering our attendees, speakers, and sponsors.

We are working with our partner hotels and accommodation to provide additional information to you, and will post here as we know more.

If you have any additional questions, please email

British Columbia is the province where True North Dreamin will occur, and has seen a close to doubling in cases in the past 24 hours. We are aware of this news from the BC Health, and are determining the correct next steps. Please monitor this page, as we will post here as soon as we know more.

March 6, 2020 4:56pm PST

We have been reviewing the contingency plans for the event and based on the current information the team has agreed that the event will be going ahead. We will be hosting a hand-shake free event and plan to provide hand-sanitizer to all attendees.

There are no travel restrictions on Canada, BC, Vancouver, or the University of British Columbia (UBC), where our venue is located. We will continue to monitor the situation regularly.

The BC Centre for Disease Control still assesses the risk of the disease spreading as low. The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for Canada.
