About True North Dreamin

True North Dreamin is a community led event for Salesforce professionals, and for those who are interested in learning more about Salesforce. TND will be a two day event with multiple tracks of content, keynote speakers, networking, and an awesome Canadian time that you will not want to miss!

TND is organized, run and delivered by people from within the Salesforce community. This is a not-for-profit event that we can only bring to you because of the generosity of our sponsors. The purpose is to bring us all together and to give everyone access to the best content available to help educate and provide value for everyone.

While Canada has less people than the state of California, we have the second largest country on the globe. As such, we want to ensure that we share our many different areas with each other (and all of you too!). This is why we are named “True North Dreamin” and not a city. True North is taken from our national anthem - “With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free!”

The True North Dreamin’ Board

Our Board of Directors and Board Advisors for True North Dreamin’ is a group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about not only bringing the Salesforce community together in Canada, but encouraging it’s growth. Like our country itself, our team is geographically diverse—with members who live, or have lived, from Coast to Coast, and even beyond our borders.

We’re proud to continue to carry the torch passed to us by the original founders of TND as we continue to grow and evolve this uniquely Canadian community event.

Kathy Waterworth

Kathy only officially joined the Salesforce ecosystem in 2018 after deciding to turn playing with Trailhead into a career. She now works as a freelance Virtual System Administrator in the Nonprofit space. She gives back to the community through her work as an Amplify Board Member, a RAD Women coach, the Commons Sprints, speaker at various Dreamin' events, and founder and leader of the York-Simcoe Salesforce Saturday & Newmarket Architect Groups. 20 X certified, and a Salesforce MVP.

When not doing Salesforce related stuff, Kathy enjoys reading, hiking and watching sports, especially the Leafs, the Canucks and Team Canada at multi-sport events.

Tracey is a 10x certified Salesforce consultant who joined the Salesforce ecosystem in 2021 via Talent Stacker after 20 years in the nonprofit sector. In addition to her roles at Director, Nonprofit at DTG Digital Transformation Group (Salesforce Partner) and Principal Consultant, Nonprofit at Witch-Ways, she supports the community through shared leadership in the NPC Cloud Best Practices group (Salesforce.org Commons Program) and NPC Exploratory Group (Technopath.io).

Outside of work, she can be found browsing the shelves at local bookstores or cheering on her favourite hockey teams.

Fred Tchang

With over 10 years of experience with the Salesforce platform, Fred has grown from his early work with Sales, Service, CPQ, and Experience Clouds, on to his latest loves- Marketing, Data Cloud, and AI that helps us all expand our abilities.

As fun as it is working with Salesforce, it is even more fun to share your excitement, mentor and learn from others. After being an active member of Philly/NJ user groups, and co-lead to the Hamilton (NJ) user group, he spent several years helping to organize MidAtlantic Dreamin. It was natural then, after moving to Ottawa, to actively promote the Ottawa user group, and work with the people who would revive True North Dreamin, and help to re-establish it as a Canadian mainstay in the Salesforce Community.

Nina Patil

Nina has been a part of the Salesforce community for over 4 years, having started her journey at a bootcamp run by Salesforce Canada. She regularly mentors early-career professionals so that they are well-equipped to blaze their own trails in Salesforce. She works as a Salesforce Consultant at Deloitte with a focus on the Consumer industry within Technology & Transformation.

In her spare time, she enjoys music, languages, art, and fencing. She especially loves scuba diving because every dive is an adventure and the ocean is her playground.
